U16-U20 Records Tumble in April part 2

In the U16 Boys Category AJ, David Fregene and Yoel Tesfu broke into the top 10 for the 100m. The current Record was an impressive record set by Albert Hughes in 2023 with 11.76s. In the 200m Ethan Naude, David Fregene and Yoeal Tesfu also broke into the top 10 with again Albert Hughes holding the current record with a 25.2 clocking again in 2023. Benjamin Wilson Broke his own Long Jump Record with a fantastic 5.60m whilst AJ moved in 2nd place with a jump of 5.21m. Laila Rawlings has already equalled her U16 record with her first start over 100m and another 12.9 clocking. Can she snatch that fantastic 12.6 s record away from Harriett Griffiths-Horrod by the end of the season (watch this space). In the 200m Laila moved up to 3rd place with a great 27.2 and only Mesoma Nwabuezes 26.3 and Harriets 26.4 stand in her way. Ademi Adebsi also forced her way into the top 10 with a sub 30 clocking. In what is the most competitive top 10 list she must be happy with that. Laila also went on to smash the Wessex League 80mh record with a 12.5s clocking. I'm sure this record will change a lot through the season so again (watch this space)

In the U18M category Delana Sam Akanbi moved up to 3rd on in the top 10 record with 11.9 for the 100m and 24.9 for the 200m. Only Ben Boyle and Isaac Fatunwase stand in his way . Only one record so far in the U18W category where Mesoma Nwabueze posted a fantastic first time effort of 62.17s for the 400m. With both Mesoma and Harriet recording club records that were unfortunately over the 2.0 wind legal limit it will be only a matter of time before more records fall this season.
